Even though it’s technically fall now, fall is in no hurry to show up around North Carolina. I have been willing fall to head this way so I can break out my favorite wardrobe pieces! As soon as the temperatures drop, you can find my in this suede moto jacket! This jacket is such a high quality piece that will last you for years to come without breaking the bank. I actually have this jacket in two other colors and they all still look brand new! Speaking of wardrobe staples, this boyfriend sweater is so cozy and priced well. It comes in about ten different colors, too! It’s one of those sweaters that works alone or layered.
In other news, I have been so busy lately. I’ve had a lot of wedding meetings and so so much going on in my personal life that has been a bit of a roller coaster of emotions. I know sometimes bloggers portray this perfect life, but believe me, it’s not that way. Most of the time I choose to share my “highlight reel,” but like anyone else I have things going on I don’t always choose to share. Today I want to kind of open up to you guys. Sometimes I do best when I write things out, so that’s what I’m gonna do! I don’t know if I mentioned it on my blog, but my grandparents lost their house in Texas during Hurricane Harvey so we moved them to North Carolina. Not long after that, my grandfather fell and broke his hip. He suffers from Lewy Body Dementia and all of these traumatic life events haven’t been easy on him. Last week he was admitted into hospice and things aren’t looking too good. It’s difficult to process a family member passing and it’s been hard to see him deteriorate. But in the midst of all of the sadness, a new life came into our world yesterday when my brother & his fiancé had their baby! I’m now an aunt which is soooo exciting! I can’t WAIT to squeeze my nephew in a few days! Anyways, I hope y’all have a great Thursday!
