Ok, I know I said in yesterday’s post that Turks & Caicos was my favorite day, but I definitely think Puerto Rico was tied for second. We were in Puerto Rico from 12p.m.- midnight. We decided to rent a car & do all the exploring we wanted! There are so many beautiful places, history, and great local spots to explore there!
These were the views from our balcony when we woke up…so beautiful!
Castillo San Cristóbal
Cemetery of Old San Juan
This cemetery is for everyone who died in the war in Old San Juan. None of the caskets are buried, all are above ground. Most of the tombstones are without names. The cemetery, as you can see backs right up to the ocean. I know it is strange to say, but this place was so interesting and fascinating. It was HUGE…way bigger than any photo I could capture of it.
Old San Juan
Old San Juan was the cutest area. From pastel colored buildings, great architecture and cute shops! They even had a starbucks (but it was way too warm to even think about coffee!) I loved just exploring the roads and the local shops.
Bacardi Distillery
Oh yes. We went to where the Bacardi rum in manufactured. This location and a Mexico location are the only ones who produce it! It reminded me of Willy Wonka for some reason, Ha!
Great pictures! I went to San Juan last year and we're going again this year. I'm so excited!
These photos are gorgeous! I've always wanted to go to Puerto Rico, and this makes me want to visit even more!
