Short Hair Inspiration

Every once in a while I get this wild thought to cut my hair. Well ladies, I’ve gotten that thought in my head again and I can’t get it out! About three years ago I cut my hair 12 inches and donated it to Locks of Love. It was totally spur of the moment, but I ended up loving it. Lately I have been annoyed with my hair, my ridiculous split ends, and have been wanting a change. So, why not chop off my hair? My hair stylist gets pretty booked up, so a few weeks ago I went ahead and scheduled my appointment. Ever since I have been having this inner debate of “do I cut my hair a few inches or just a little trim?” Ultimately, every girl ALWAYS wants their hair the way it’s not. Whenever my hair is long I want it short and vice versa. I’ve had quite  a few horrendous hair disasters, so I’m a little nervous especially since my current stylist has never cut more than an inch on my hair! But I like risks, so tomorrow I’ll be giving my hair a chop, with the above ladies hairdos as my inspiration!!

I love the look of a long bob. With my hair being so thin and fine, long hair has never been ideal for me. Whenever my hair is long my mom constantly complains about how ratty and stringy it looks. While I have never liked to admit that she is right….she’s right! Shorter hair just works better for my hair type. Having a long bob will allow my hair to be healthy again and just look better! Can’t wait to see the outcome!

Have a Happy Wednesday! Thanks for reading!

  1. Ah! This is just what I need. I've been growing out a short cut for the past 8 months and have finally hit my shoulders, but I have no idea what to do with it between here and the shoulder blades!

I cut my hair to a long bob in November and I have loved it!! It feels so full and is so effortless. It's great for fine hair. I'm growing it to my clavicle bone and I think I'm going to leave it there for a while.

  3. I have the same issue. Every few years I let it grow to a bit below my shoulders, but I always go back to my long angled bob! It just works for the fine/thin hair!

  4. I always go back and forth between wanting to chop my hair and chickening out. I think you'll look awesome!

I definitely have the same debate every time. Mine is the opposite, though, and I know it looks better long. It's just a lot to handle. I can't wait to see it, and I'm sure it will be gorgeous!

Ahh, Hedi Klum's hair in that picture is my favorite! My hair is fine too, so shorter is better for me. But right now I'm rocking it long, though the "lob" is so cute! Maybe you will inspire me 🙂

  12. i am the same exact way, my hair is so fine and super thin so it can't be super long. i once cut it super short, like accidentally too short, up to right under my chin and once it started growing out a little bit i loved it and kept it like that for probably two years. it made my hair look so much thicker!!

now i have discovered a new secret that i will share with you which is why i can get away with long-for-me hair: clip in extensions!! i don't use them for length i just use them for thickness and they are amazing!! best $100 i have ever spent!

hope your haircut goes well, i know you'll just look amazing with a bob!
