Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was as great as mine! We finally got around to doing some much needed house cleaning, had some friends over on Saturday night & got some good lounging in (that’s what the weekends are for, right?) About a month ago I went to Dallas, Texas with a bunch of my blogger babes! It was such a fun weekend spent with friends. Naturally, when you’re with a group of 20 bloggers the weekend gets documented well! But I realized this weekend that I hadn’t done a recap on my blog. The weekend was too good not to……even a month later!
DAY ONE Our trip was jam packed with fun things to do, thanks to Ashley from the moment we stepped off the plane at DFW. Our first night we went to Tillman’s Roadhouse. It was absolutely delicious (I think I’m still dreaming of the parmesan popcorn…!) We had a later dinner so we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves, which was probably a good thing with 8 loud, laughing girls! If you’re ever in Dallas I highly suggest this restaurant. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert (ahem…smores) were absolutely amazing. Afterwards we went out on the town, made some more memories, laughed so hard we cried…..and ended up spending $50 at Whattaburger afterwards! That’s how you know it was a good night!
DAY TWO Day two was a whirlwind! I don’t think we stopped moving and going all day and night. But, I can definitely say we got our feel of all the best Dallas places while we were there! We woke up early Friday morning and went to a spin class at FlyWheel! I had only done one spin class before and it was NOTHING compared to FlyWheel. The atmosphere of FlyWheel is so intimate and very welcoming. I didn’t feel the least bit intimidated at all. Mark, our instructor was so encouraging the entire 45 minutes. Anytime I felt like quitting he kept on pushing and really made me push myself! After a night out, it was a little more testing, but I ended up feeling great afterwards (minus my butt) They have locations all over the U.S. but I’m especially excited that they have one in Charlotte. Be on the lookout for a fun event soon 😉
After FlyWheel we headed to the rewardStyle office to meet with our account reps and take a little tour of the office! Not only is their office amazing (hi rS, do you need another account rep?!) the girls and guys were extremely nice. It felt like we were in a room with friends!
The next stop of the day was Milk and Honey Boutique, which I was so excited about! I follow them on instagram and always see the great pieces my favorite Dallas ladies get from there so I couldn’t wait to do a little shopping. The staff was so friendly and I ended up getting a few shirts. I can’t wait to debut them on the blog!
Stop number four of the day was DryBar for a little hair styling before our big Blogger Dinner! It was nice to (finally) sit, sip some champagne, and have our hair done before a fun night out. DryBar is always a good idea, but nine times out of ten, it doesn’t end up the way I want it. It’s a great way to socialize with girlfriends, though!
I was most excited about our big Blogger Dinner with our group and a lot of the Dallas bloggers! It’s always fun to meet the people you follow via social media on a daily basis! This group of ladies are truly a blessing. I met so many wonderful, encouraging, and downright fun ladies! We ate at Sissy’s Southern Kitchen and I had the perfect southern meal of fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Afterwards we went out and got our dance on…again! We are one dancing’ bunch. We laughed until the wee hours before calling it a night.
DAY THREE This day started off with us primping for our blogger brunch at Posh Floral Designs! The entire brunch was dedicated to our love of each other, blogging, and the community that we have built! You can read more about the brunch here.
After our delicious brunch we made it a day of shopping, which we all do best! We ended up in Highland Park Village at Mi Cocina for some mexican and margaritas. Talk about delicious. They had the best food and a great selection of Margaritas. The only bad part about this dinner was that we had to start saying our goodbyes to some girls. It was so hard to say goodbye to people you got along with so well and had only “known” them for a few days! We’re already planning trips!
I am truly thankful that blogging has connected us all and that we have been able to form friendships with each other! It’s great having that group of friends that just happen to be bloggers…that totally get the selfies, the #ootd photos, and everything else we bloggers do!! 😉
P.S. shoutout to my girl Krista for being the best blogger of the weekend and documenting it all with these photos!!
