Back to Basics with Lou & Grey

Just before Thanksgiving I had the opportunity to stop by Lou & Grey, which recently opened in North Hills in Raleigh, to do a little shopping! I first discovered Lou & Grey over the summer while I was shopping at Loft. I was instantly hooked on their minimalistic and monochromatic pieces. Knowing how much I had loved their pieces at Loft, I couldn’t wait to get into their store to see the clothing and the merchandising (I’m a sucker for good merchandising.)
Upon walking into Lou & Grey you almost feel at ease, not overwhelmed in the slightest, which is always a high selling point for me. The store was extremely organized and very well thought out and their staff was excellent, helping with anything I needed! Another thing I really appreciated was that the staff refers to you as a guest, instead of a customer, which just goes a step above many stores!
The line consists of sweaters and sweatshirts, denim, and every day basics in simple color palettes such as white, grays, blues, and black that can be worn interchangeably with many other Lou & Grey pieces. That being said, I had a very hard time choosing what outfit I wanted to wear for Thanksgiving. Almost everything I tried on I instantly fell in love with and wanted (#seriousproblem.)
After trying on a few outfits, I narrowed it down to my top two contenders (below). One outfit consisted of an open jacket and comfy leggings, while the other was black denim and an oversized sweater with a zippered back. Check back tomorrow to see what look I ended up choosing! 🙂

  4. In love with that sweater you're holding up! I'm a sucker for monochromatic pieces and minimalist basics as well… also hate the "cluttered" feeling when I walk into a store. I'm near Raleigh – may have to check it out!

This looks so fun! I love how their store is decorated- minimalistic and classy at the same time. I've heard of Lou & Grey through LOFT -didn't know they had their own stores!
