Undone Waves Hair Tutorial

Since
chopping my hair a few weeks ago I have struggled with how to style my new hair
length. With my longer hair I was so used to being able to curl it daily, braid
it in many different ways, and experiment with it a little more in general!

Since getting my hair cut, I
have spent countless hours browsing Pinterest, watching Youtube videos,
and researching the best products for “lob” hairstyles. When I was contacted to try the TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Collection, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time! I was searching for affordable products to try that would give me that “undone” look that I had pinned to my Pinterest board so many times!
I decided to try my luck with the undone looking waves I have seen everywhere from Pinterest to the runway. I think these waves would be great for everyday wear or getting glammed up for date night!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Wash hair with Tresemme’s Perfectly (Un)Done shampoo and conditioner. Although most people say dirty hair is better for holding curls, I have found that my hair does better when it is clean and hasn’t been straightened prior. Once you have washed your hair, towel or air dry it a bit before moving on to step two.
2. Dispense 2-5 pumps of the TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Wave Creation Foam into your hand and work into your hair evenly. I have short and thin hair so I used two small pumps.
3. Blow dry your hair until it is about 80% dry. You don’t have to worry about getting it straight as you are drying since you will be adding more product to your hair!
4. On your semi-dry hair spray the TRESemmé perfectly (Un)Done Sea Salt Spray lightly throughout your hair. This is going to give your hair added texture for that undone wave look.
5. Take a section of your hair and twist it away from your face (I did mine in one inch sections). Aim your hair dryer at that twisted section of your hair for about 15 seconds until it feels warm and fully dry. You will end up with a wavy section of hair. Continue doing this in sections for your entire head of hair. For a more undone look, alternate the direction that you twist the sections. There were a few sections that did not want to cooperate, so I used the straightener to lightly curl them (you can see how via this youtube video
6. Finish off your look with TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Crushable Hairspray to keep your undone waves looking fresh all day long! I went a step further and created a side braid to my loose waves. To give the braid a more full look I pulled at the pieces (from top to bottom) and fastened it with a tiny rubber band and bobby pin!

  3. That is a genius way to get undone curls! It never occurred to me to just use a few products and the blow dryer. I just purchased that sea salt foam a couple weeks ago and have been enjoying it. Great tutorial!
