Yesterday I shared the outfit I wore for day time meetings and networking. Today I am back sharing the outfit I wore for the River Island cocktail party. After a busy day, I was definitely ready to kick back with friends and hang out! The weather had been a little iffy all day, but come time for the party Dallas really decided to get crazy. It down poured harder than I have ever seen. But, we were all ready to have some fun, so we took the risk and ran (in heels and dresses, no less) across the street to the event under umbrellas to make it happen!
Unfortunately, it was raining and lightening so much we had to be moved back across the street to The Joule Hotel. Imagine 200 girls in heels and dresses running through a river (basically…) to get back to the hotel. It was all in good fun and we all couldn’t stop laughing about it. A few of us continued the party and grabbed dinner and drinks together and hung out! Even though the cocktail party didn’t work out as planned, it was still wonderful to be in the company of so many bloggers and to continue to catch up and have fun.
Anyways, I absolutely love this black pleated maxi. It’s a little different than any of the other maxi dresses I own. It flows so beautifully when walking and most importantly it’s comfortable (and has pockets…bonus!) I threw on a chunky statement necklace to add a little pop of color. P.S. Happy Cinco de Mayo! Anyone have any big plans? I plan on grabbing a margarita (or two) and mexican with a friend today to celebrate.
Black Pleated Maxi Dress (also comes in white and pink) | Kendra Scott Necklace | Sole Society Caged Wedges | Karen Walker Sunglasses | Kendra Scott Bracelet | TAudrey Coordinates Bracelet | c/o Blair Ritchey PAK clutch (can also be a cross body / 20% off through Sunday with code EH20)
