My Favorite Dry Shampoo

If I told y’all just how often I use dry shampoo you would probably be embarrassed for me. But really, dry shampoo is often a life saver in my household. My thin, blonde hair does not like to be washed every day. In fact, I have trained my hair to not be washed for up to four days (yes, you read that correctly), because otherwise it would be super dry and probably look like straw!

I think since the hype around dry shampoo began I have tried about 15 different types. From drug store super cheap brands to more expensive brands. I am picky when it comes to dry shampoo since I use it so often. Almost every one I tried either left my hair feeling heavy, even more dirty, or had an awful smell to it. Out of all the ones I have tried, I have only found one or two that I really liked and would purchase again.

When I heard that moroccanoil had recently launched their own dry shampoo line (that offers both light tones and dark tones) I was absolutely ecstatic. I have been using moroccanoil products for about two years now. My obsession first began through my hair dresser. Every time I would go get my hair done, I left with my hair feeling great and smelling even better. It got to the point where I was so excited to get my hair done simply because of the products he used. Finally I bought the shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray so that I could have that “just got my hair done” feeling all the time!

Needless to say, their dry shampoo is out of this world. After using the light tones dry shampoo for about two weeks now, it has become my absolute favorite. I have found that I don’t have to use as much as I have with other dry shampoos, but I still get that clean hair feel. Even though it is a little more expensive than some other dry shampoo brands, it is 100% worth it in my opinion. It has also never made my hair feel heavy or dirty, like I had mentioned above.

  1. Can you share how you trained your hair to not be washed daily? I live in humid MS and have tried going without washing and just dry shampoo on the wknds and it is oily. I have thick hair so I would think not washing would be okay?! Love your hair style!!!

  3. I'm in the same boat as you, girl!! I've tried around 15 dry shampoos because my hair is so thin!! I can't wash it every day or my split ends just hate me and my hair gets really frizzy… I can't go 4 days though haha is it weird to say I'm impressed?? I'm going to have to try this! My two favorites are Batiste ($8) and the DryBar brand! Love this post 🙂

Dry shampoo is excellent. I was so happy to have it while I was ill and during a surgery. Made things much easier.
