Workin’ Out

I am going to be honest and admit that I fell off the workout wagon earlier this spring. Between traveling, having some personal things going on, and good food enticing me, I lost my motivation to work out.
After realizing I wasn’t happy with my body, I decided to get my butt in gear and begin working out again. So recently I have been getting up in the mornings and going on jogs, have been doing a few work out videos at home, and have been thinking about taking up Pure Barre again. I had stopped taking Pure Barre for a while mainly because of the expense ($200 a month vs. $15 a month gym membership) but it was a work out that I thoroughly enjoyed, so I may go back.
Even though it is miserably hot out, I enjoy outdoor work outs. I have even gone to my old high school a few times to run the stairs (hello major flashback to running the stairs for PE in high school) just to change it up a bit. I have upped my work out gear game (how amazing are these shoes!) in hopes that it will also help motivate me. I have been loving this strappy sports bra & low back tank to help me keep cool during my outdoor work outs.
So…. all of that rambling to say, if you all have any good work out routines that you like, videos you watch, or exercises that you have found to work well, please send them my way!

  5. I love this look – cute but totally functional. I've been using Kayla Itsine's bikini body guide workout and its amazing. I feel so worn out after each workout, and I can totally notice a difference in how I feel. It's 12 weeks and combines circuit workouts with low and high intensity cardio work. Love your blog!!

  6. Hi Emily! I wanted to share with you that I also LOVE pure barre. I took class in a studio for over a year and went religiously…but the price got to be a little too much. So I instead I ordered a bunch of DVD's from the website (most packages come with stretchy tube and/or the ball). Didn't know if you might be interested in that! It is the same workout as in the studio (SUPER hard, ha). I definitely miss the studio and often contemplate going back as well at times, but seriously the DVD's at home really are great! Hope this helps 🙂
