Fall Cardigans

Lately we have been getting a small glimpse of fall, here in North Carolina. The cooler mornings and chilly nights have left me anxiously awaiting the arrival of fall. Earlier this week I spent time going through my closet and removing my summer items and adding in my fall items. Whenever I do this, I always like to take inventory of what items I need before the new season starts.

I always really love wearing open cardigans throughout the fall. They are the perfect items to layer and really complete many of my outfits. I noticed that a couple of mine were showing wear so I decided I needed to add a few more to my closet before fall rolled around.

Since I wear these often during fall and winter, I knew I wanted to have nice quality ones that would last. I was really pleased with my open cardigan from Calypso St. Barth that I got last year, so I decided on a few more from there this season. I am all about the duster trend this season and this grey cashmere duster can virtually be worn with any outfit. I also added this cream colored cocoon sweater because it can be worn now with short sleeve items (especially since I am always freezing in coffee shops and restaurants) and later on in the season with long layers.
