Recent Beauty Buys

How is everyone on this rainy Sunday? I am definitely struggling with the time change today! I have been dragging all day and I can’t seem to stay focused (or awake for that matter!) I ran to Sephora and Ulta today after Pure Barre to grab some makeup that I had run out of and ended up grabbing a few new things as well! I am a beauty junkie and always love trying new beauty products. Below I’m sharing a few of my recent beauty buys, some tried-and-true and a few new ones! Let me know if you have tried any of these and some of your favorites. xx

Naked Skin Foundation by Urban Decay // I have tried my fair share of foundation, but I absolutely love this one! It is lightweight, goes on evenly and never feels like it’s caked on. I tried this for the first time right before Christmas and I just now am running out. I use the beauyblender to put on. If you don’t have or use a beauty blender, I highly suggest it! It’s probably one of my favorite beauty products ever.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser // This is another product I tried around the holidays. At the time I was unhappy with my face wash and didn’t feel like it was fully removing my makeup or cleansing my skin. You only need a dime sized amount of this to fully remove makeup and cleanse your face. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. sephora makeup haul

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara & Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara // If you’ve been reading Life With Emily for a while then you know I am a mascara lover (read: hoarder!) If there is one thing I always wear it’s mascara. Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara is one of my all time favorites. It never looks thick or clumpy. Roller Lash by Benefit does a great job of separating the lashes so they look full.

It Cosmetics Concealer // This two-in-one eyelift in a tube works wonders! I use the concealer daily and I use the brightener occasionally under my eyes when I wear “full” makeup. The concealer does a great job of concealing under eye dark circles and any unwanted acne without looking thick.

It Cosmetics Luminizing Stick // Want to have that healthy, beautiful glow? This luminizing stick is a great way to achieve that! It’s so easy to use and take on the go with you! I will sometimes take it with me and slide on in the middle of the day to get that gorgeous glow.

It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation // This is a new purchase today & I am excited to try it. After reading a few reviews, it seems like it does a great job of covering uneven toned skin (which is something I deal with!) I will let you all know what I think after I have used it for a while!maybelline brow drama

Maybelline Brow Drama Eyebrow Pencil // To be honest, I suck at the whole eyebrow thing haha! I never really know what to use, how to apply things, and what actually looks good/works! Any suggestions, send your way! I had tried the brow duo and really liked it, so I decided to try this one as well! Once I have used it for a bit, I’ll let you know my thoughts.recent beauty buys from ulta and sephora

I got that Maybelline brow drama crayon this week too! I like that I don’t have to be as precise and it still looks natural. However, I still use the spooly at the end of any other brow pencil to smooth after applying the product. Looks like you got a lot of exciting things to try! 🙂

  2. Hi Emily,
Give the L’Oréal brow stylist a try. I prefer it over the Maybelline brow drama because of its precise point and spooly.

I’ve been meaning to try the First Aid products. I like how they’re safe for sensitive skin.
