Travel With Me To: OBX, NC

Last month I headed to the North Carolina coast to the Outer Banks for a fun girl’s trip with six of my favorite bloggers! It’s always nice to get together with girlfriends and have some fun, make memories and laugh….a lot! We stayed at Sanderling Resort in Duck, North Carolina and had such a great time while there! Today I wanted to bring you along for a recap of our girl’s trip to OBX! You can also follow our adventures using the #BloggersDoTravel hashtag on Instagram. We used #BloggersDoOBX for this trip, too!Sanderling Resort-71

When we arrived to Sanderling Resort we were greeted to gorgeous rooms (with an equally gorgeous view), the biggest charcuterie board I’ve ever seen, and bottle of wine to help us celebrate our arrival! We ended up having three connecting rooms, so it basically become one big 7 girl sleepover! So. Much. Fun. After unpacking, catching up & downing a few glasses of wine while enjoying our ocean view, we headed to explore the resort. First off, let me just tell you how gorgeous and peaceful this place is. They have a regular pool as well as an adult tranquil pool (aka heaven for parents!) The grounds are incredibly gorgeous as well as the rooms and public areas. I wish there had been more time there to relax and explore a bit more… another time!Sanderling Resort-1Sanderling Resort-2After we spent a bit of time exploring we headed to the fire pit for some s’more action! I’m not gonna lie, this may have been one of my favorite activities! I felt like a was a kid again….they had all the essentials and then some for s’mores! Once we had (over)indulged in our s’mores we headed to find a place for dinner. We ended up at Sunset Grille & Raw Bar for some good ‘ole seafood & drinks with the locals!outerbanks north carolina trip-1outerbanks north carolina trip-6 outerbanks north carolina trip-5The next morning, we biked five miles to the Waterfront Shops in Duck (thanks to Kitty Hawk Kites) with photographer Brooke Mayo for a fun day of shopping, eating & capturing memories! We grabbed coffee at Duck’s Cottage, had drinks and lunch at The Blue Point Grille, and we couldn’t resist a bit of ice cream afterwards! By dinner time we were all starving from our ten-mile total bike ride, so we booked reservations at Paper Canoe and feasted on a lil bit of everything (no shame in our game ha!)Sanderling Resort-13

I can certainly vouch for the French toast. Just thinking about it makes me crave it now! Then it was time to say our goodbyes… Lucky for us, it’s never long before we’re reunited again! Until next time! XO
