Living Room Tour

Hi friends! I wanted to take a break from the Nordstrom sale madness to share my living room tour with you all. My living room tour has been a long time coming and I am so happy to have partnered with Havenly for its redesign!

To give a little background, I have been in my apartment for almost three years. When I first moved in I had everything from my previous apartment which consisted of a hodgepodge of furniture from college and stuff my parents had passed down over the years. Needless to say nothing meshed very well and it was not my style. Slowly but surely I have worked through redecorating each room in my apartment to make it feel  like “home.” Click through to read more about my living room design with Havenly & to see the finished result!LIFE WITH EMILY LIVING ROOM TOUR

HOW HEAVENLY WORKS

First, I wanted to share how Havenly works because it’s pretty genius! Once you sign up and take a short style survey, you are paired with a designer for either a “mini makeover” or a “full design.” You work very closely with your designer to discuss inspiration for your room, your budget, and what items you will be keeping (so they can incorporate them into your design). From there they provide a series to designs, get your feedback, and once your design is complete you can shop the design right from their site. They handle shipping, redeeming any promos, etc. which always seems to be the hardest part!

What I personally enjoyed about the process is seeing a few different designs for how my space and being able to visualize how it could be set up. I live in an older apartment with an odd set-up, so my designer took that into consideration and found ways that we could make the most of my small space!

P.S. All sources are listed at the bottom of this post! XxLife With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 2WHAT I WANTED FROM MY RE-DESIGN

Like I said above, my living room lacked direction and an overall aesthetic. I really wanted everything to come together and go well with the rest of my home. I wanted to make the most out of my small living space and I wanted it to feel like “home” when I walked in the door. Above all else, I wanted it to be functional. I have seen so many bloggers with bright white couches and gold everywhere and while that’s beautiful, for me personally, that’s not functional. I wanted a nice mix of classic-modern and trendy and I think that’s exactly what I ended up with!Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 27

ABOUT MY LIVING ROOM

I am always drawn to neutrals, so I wanted a lot of neutrals in my living room. When the base colors of a room are neutral, it’s easy to make changes with things like pillows, blankets, art, and decor items. I added small pops of color with those items. I brought in metallic touches with lamps and accessories. The pieces of art really helped to tie the colors together. I couldn’t be more pleased with the way it turned out. I am excited to have friends and family over now and I find myself spending more time in my living room! Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 7Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 37Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 46Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 5Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 40Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 9Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 15 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 25Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 22 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 50Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 31 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 32 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 33 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 35      Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 47 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 48 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 51 Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 53Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 52Life With Emily Living Room Tour Havenly 38
