Recent Beauty Buys

It’s been quite a while (like five months actually!) since I’ve done my last “recent beauty buys“post, so I figured it was time to do another one! I’ve found quite a lot of beauty items that have become part of my daily routine, so I’m excited to share them with you. Let’s get started, shall we?! recent beauty buys

Today I’m going to break up the items into sections, one for hair and one for face! As always, if you have any specific questions about these products, feel free to leave them in the comments or ask via any social media!

HAIRstrivectin shampoo and conditioner review

STRIVECTIN SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER | I have been using this combo since April and I can tell a huge difference in my hair. I have naturally thin, straight hair and this has helped add a bit of volume to it, without weighing my hair down. I also really like the smell, it’s not overwhelming and it doesn’t smell like flowers haha! This max volume starter trio is a great deal if you’re wanting to try this out.kendra texture taffy

KENRA PLATINUM TEXTURIZING TAFFY | After getting my hair cut and curling it more often, I needed to find products that would work well with my hair type. Since my hair is so fine, it tends to want to go into one giant curl when it’s curled (which is NOT a cute look ha!) My friend Kate suggested this texturizing taffy and I owe her big time because it is SO awesome! When my hair is curled I put it on my fingertips and rub it through them. On days when my hair is straight, I comb it through the ends and over any baby hairs so my hair has a bit of texture! kenra texture taffy 2kenra texture taffy 4kenra blow dry spray

KENRA PLATINUM BLOW DRYING SPRAY | Because I use so many heat products on my hair, it’s important to take care of my hair. Before blow drying, I use this spray to help prevent heat damage and breakage. It leaves my hair protected and feeling incredibly soft. t3 micro straigthener

T3 MICRO SINGLEPASS STRAIGHTENERThis 1-inch straightener has become my new go-to! I received this from T3 about two months ago and have really loved using it. It internally controls the temperature, so your hair isn’t being subjected to overly hot temperatures, causing breakage. But perhaps, my favorite part about it is the auto shut-off….. (insert embarrassed emoji here!) I am awful at shutting off my straightener, so I’m glad it does it for me! No more turning around once I’m in my car to double check it’s off! LOL. t3 straightener

UMBERTO HAIR SPRAY & UMBERTO DRY TEXTURE SPRAY | Hair sprays always have that “hair spray” smell, right?! I hate using hair spray for that reason…. but this one doesn’t have “that” smell! It’s a very light hair spray that holds your look without it being stiff. Another favorite is this dry texture spray. You can’t beat the price and it works so well! I use it after I have curled my hair and before I run may fingers through my curls.

FACEcharlotte tillbury lipliner

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY LIPSTICK & LIPLINER | I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I’m not a bright lipstick person. Maybe it’s the fact that it pops against my pale skin or maybe I’m just crazy haha but I don’t like it on me. I like to stick to a more neutral lip. This Charlotte Tillbury lipstick and lipliner are a great duo! Just the perfect amount of color for me!charlotte tillbury lipstickclarisonic mia fit

CLARISONIC MIA FIT | I have used my Clarisonic for years and my skin has thanked me! I added the Mia Fit to my collection recently and love it just as much. It’s a bit smaller, so it’s great for traveling. I pair it with Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash.loreal pure-clay masks

L’Oreal Pure-Clay Face Masks | There’s nothing better than a good mask. In the past I would go to Sephora and grab one, but drug store beauty just got so much better with the addition of these masks. My current favorite is the orange-y one, Exfoliate & Refine. If you have oily skin, I suggest trying the Purify & Mattify mask (the light grey one). The Detox & Brighten mask is great after a long, sleepless night!
