How To Get Undone Beach Waves

This post is sponsored by Sally Beauty. All thoughts, styling & writing are my own.

Ever since I got my hair cut a few months back into a long, layered “lob,” I have been trying to find the best way to get my hair to curl (and stay curled!) while looking a little undone. Today I’m teaming up with Sally Beauty to share how I get my undone beachy waves using products from their store!

Click through to see the step-by-step process on how I get undone beach waves!

I start by spraying BTZ Turn Up the Heat Flat Iron Protection Spray on my hair. Unlike other products I have tried, this one can be used on damp or dry hair. Since I typically let my hair air dry before curling it, I used this on my dry hair right before I started to curl it.

After you’ve sprayed that in your hair and let it dry, begin curling your hair. To get undone waves, I prefer to use a 1-inch-barrel curling wand (not the cone-style wands that go from small to large barrel). This type of wand allows you to get an even curl.

curling wand 1I section off my hair into 1-inch sections and curl each part for 5 to 10 seconds. For my wand, I have the temperature set to 180° so that I don’t burn my hair! I leave about a half-inch of hair away from the wand so that it’s not a ringlet curl. After I remove my hair from the wand, I pull on the straight part so that it will relax the curl a to get beachy wavesBTZ BEACH HEAD SALT SPRAY

Once I have finished curling my hair, I spray a texturizing spray onto it. This helps give the curls a bit of texture (I have fine, thin hair so this helps them hold longer too!) and allows them to separate and not turn into one giant curl! I scooped up the BTZ Beach Head Surf Shake Sea Salt Texturizing Spray from Sally Beauty, and I love it. It’s not sticky, the spray bottle is really convenient, and it smells so good!ADD TEXTURIZING SPRAYBTZ FLEXIBLE HOLD HAIR SPRAY

To finish off the look, I spray this BTZ Rock On Flexible Hold Hair Spray lightly all over so that my curls last throughout the entire day (and into the next day, too!).flexible hold hair sprayAnd there you have it! This whole look took less than 15 minutes to achieve, so it’s an easy look that can be done daily. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below! • 24 weeks with our baby boy🤰🏼💙 it’s crazy to think we get to meet him in just 16 weeks, it feels like this pregnancy has flown by! 👶🏻I feel grateful that I have had a healthy & happy pregnancy but, to be honest, the last few weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions. As a first time mom, I have these feelings of immense sadness as the last half of this pregnancy is going to be nothing like I had envisioned. There have been a lot of tears over the fact that many exciting moments can no longer be shared with those closest to us. I know others have it much, much worse but I’ve learned it’s ok to be sad & to feel these emotions. I’m upset that I am no longer able to have a baby shower to celebrate our first born, I’m sad I don’t get to hug our family and watch their faces as they see my growing bump. I’m upset that these last few months of just the two of us look completely different - more time spent in our house quarantined and less time having date nights at our favorite spots and doing the things we want before baby arrives. I mourn the fact that our families may not get to meet our baby boy in the hospital the way we always talked about. But with any situation, I have cried it out (a lot) and decided to take it one day at a time and to find joy in each day💙 And ya know what? There’s a lot of joy amidst the chaos. It brings me so much joy to feel his daily movement (and my heart nearly burst when Nick felt him kick for the first time).🥰I am overjoyed that we have such a strong support system near and far. I love that we get to spend more time at home spoiling our fur babies. I find solace knowing that there are so many pregnant mamas out there feeling these exact emotions & we share a common experience and bond! I am grateful for those that are on the front lines caring for everyone. I know we have the best doctors carrying us through this uncertain time. We are strong mamas and we will get through this! 💕 so, I challenge you to find the join in each day no matter your situation! #24weekspregnant #24weeks #pregnancy #2ndtrimester #stylethebump #bumpstyle #pregnant #pregnantduringcovid19 #pregnantblogger #thebump #boymom #expecting #expectingmom
