Ever since I got my hair cut a few months back into a long, layered “lob,” I have been trying to find the best way to get my hair to curl (and stay curled!) while looking a little undone. Today I’m teaming up with Sally Beauty to share how I get my undone beachy waves using products from their store!

STEP ONE
I start by spraying BTZ Turn Up the Heat Flat Iron Protection Spray on my hair. Unlike other products I have tried, this one can be used on damp or dry hair. Since I typically let my hair air dry before curling it, I used this on my dry hair right before I started to curl it.
STEP TWO
After you’ve sprayed that in your hair and let it dry, begin curling your hair. To get undone waves, I prefer to use a 1-inch-barrel curling wand (not the cone-style wands that go from small to large barrel). This type of wand allows you to get an even curl.
I section off my hair into 1-inch sections and curl each part for 5 to 10 seconds. For my wand, I have the temperature set to 180° so that I don’t burn my hair! I leave about a half-inch of hair away from the wand so that it’s not a ringlet curl. After I remove my hair from the wand, I pull on the straight part so that it will relax the curl a bit.
STEP THREE
Once I have finished curling my hair, I spray a texturizing spray onto it. This helps give the curls a bit of texture (I have fine, thin hair so this helps them hold longer too!) and allows them to separate and not turn into one giant curl! I scooped up the BTZ Beach Head Surf Shake Sea Salt Texturizing Spray from Sally Beauty, and I love it. It’s not sticky, the spray bottle is really convenient, and it smells so good!
STEP FOUR
To finish off the look, I spray this BTZ Rock On Flexible Hold Hair Spray lightly all over so that my curls last throughout the entire day (and into the next day, too!).And there you have it! An easy undone beachy waves tutorial. All of these products cost less than $40 total from Sally Beauty, and it’s safe to say I’ve been incorporating these into my day-to-day beauty routine! This whole look took less than 15 minutes to achieve, so it’s an easy look that can be done daily. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below! Xx
