Right about now it feels like fall is never going to get here. The temperatures are still miserably hot and the days seem to last forever. While I really enjoy summer, once August rolls around I’m ready to start prepping for fall! For the first look I chose a few staple pieces that can be worn time and time again. I am almost embarrassed to admit this, but this is my first true trench coat! I know that it will be getting a lot of wear this fall. The fit is so feminine and it’s a chic piece to have! You can’t go wrong with a classic striped sweater. It’s light enough that you could get away with wearing it with shorts while the temperature is still warm, and add layers to it this fall. Another staple item for me is denim. I am a tried-and-true denim girl. I love the lighter wash of these J.Crew Factory jeans because they can easily be dressed up or down! And lastly, a girl always needs a good pair of leopard heels.

For the second look I chose to go a bit more casual for the “every day” girl. I really like button ups and find myself wearing them a lot in the fall. The colors of this particular button up top can be worn now as well as later into the season. It would be so cute with a navy cardigan and booties when the temperatures dip! Also, can we chat about these cute little J.Crew Factory ballet flats?! Grey is a hard color to find, and it’s a color I wear often (duh!), so I had to scoop these up!
