A Day at the Pool

In the summertime, there’s nothing quite like spending a day at the pool. Sometimes I’ll head to the pool, even if just for a few hours, to relax a bit! I love to get lost in a good book while sitting by the pool (or in the pool since it’s been so warm lately!) Today I’m partnering with Supergoop to share what I bring with me for a day at the pool! 

On any given pool day I like to wear a coverup, like this embroidered one from Shoshanna. I love the colorful beaded detailing on this one! I also love this swim suit from Shoshanna, as well. The print is adorable and I love that the top can be worn as a bandeau or tied around your neck! One of my non-negotiable pool essentials is sunscreen. It’s super important to me to keep my skin protected while by the pool. Hands down, my favorite sunscreen brand is Supergoop! It’s SPF 50 and has protected my skin all summer without any burns. For that I am SO thankful! I definitely went through a time when I didn’t wear sunscreen like I should, so now I am very adamant about wearing it every day. The mineral sunscreen is SPF 40 and great for every day use as well!  A few other things I always have with me are my S’well bottle to keep my drink cold (I love this pineapple one!), a fun pair of sunglasses, a good book (currently reading The Woman In Cabin 10), and my lip balm to protect my lips. I have been obsessed with the Supergoop Acai Fusion Lip Balm since I started using it six months ago. It’s pretty thick, stays on for a long time, and really protects my lips from getting chapped! For most of us there’s still plenty of pool days left, so be sure to stock up on your pool day essentials!
