Now that it’s not sweltering hot outside, I’ve taken to spending more time outside. One of my favorite parts about fall approaching is the cooler weather and the ability to take my workouts outdoors. There are quite a few parks near my house, including a really cool new one downtown (where these photos were taken!) that are great for taking walks or running a few miles.
Today I wanted to share a few things I take with me when working out, whether it’s at Pure Barre or in the park! Click through to continue reading….
So I don’t really have a “gym bag” per se, when I’m teaching or taking Pure Barre I just take what I need in my purse. I tend to carry this Mark & Graham tote a lot because it’s lightweight and big enough for everything I need!
I always use my Apple Watch for my work outs (you can read my post about Apple Watch here) If I’m walking I simply put it on the indoor or outdoor walking category for activity. I’ve had a lot of you ask what I put my watch on for Pure Barre… If I’m taking Pure Barre (and even when I’m teaching) I will put it on the “other” category that way I can accurately track my calories.
One of the most important items I carry in my bag is the SweetSpot Lab Wipes. These wipes are appropriately named because they’re meant for your “sweet spot,” but are safe to use on your entire body. They’re great to have in your bag so that you can freshen up after a work out, especially if you have to run errands or make a few stops before heading home! I actually use the wipes on my hands/arms after class when I’m teaching to get rid of germs since I’ve just touched sweaty clients! These have totally changed the game when it comes to working out & not having time to go home and shower right after!
