Hi friends! Last week was a whirlwind as I got ready to go to Dallas, TX for the annual rewardStyle Conference (#rStheCon on social) that happened this past weekend! This was my third year attending the conference and I was so happy to be there surrounded by like-minded influencers! It’s always nice to network with brands, hang out with my favorite bloggers from around the country & learn a lot.
When planning outfits for the conference I knew I wanted to incorporate some fun pieces, while still staying true to my style (and my brand!) This outfit was hands down one of my favorites that I wore. Every piece was so “me” and I felt 100% confident in it… which came in handy when chatting about my brand and pitching myself to companies!
I’m a sucker for white shorts once the weather warms up, so naturally I fell in love with this pair of white ruffle shorts. I paired them with this printed tank and it’s safe to say I want it in every single color! It’s such a good staple for warm weather. And because I’m obsessed with my denim jacket, I brought it along with me, which I’m glad I did because it was freezing inside!

Cute, but the shorts aren’t practical for anyone above a size zero. The ruffles would add extra volume to the hips. I’m not large by any means (size 6) but I am positive these would NOT look good on me. More fitted and slimming bottoms are almost always more flattering.
Hi Beth, Thanks so much for your comment. I have seen these shorts on others (who aren’t a size 0) and they looked just as cute on them! It’s all about finding what works for your body type. These shorts may work for some, but not everyone, and that’s ok. Everyone is different & has different styles. I, for one, don’t really like tight fitted items, and that’s my personal preference! Luckily, my personal style blog allows me to share my personal style with others & this is an outfit that I liked and felt confident in, so I decided to share!
