It’s here, it’s here! The first day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the most anticipated sales of the season and with good reason! Every year around this time Nordstrom rolls out new fall items… all at a discount! This means you can stock up on fall essentials at a discount before fall even starts!

If you’re not familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, then I’m going to give you a little run down! The sale opens early to Nordstrom Card holders, which means they get access to the sale a week before the public. I have the Nordstrom Debit Card, but unfortunately they no longer offer the debit card. If you have the Nordstrom Card, then you get Nordstrom Notes for spending (free money basically!) and it allows you to have access to the sale early (aka get the items you want in your size before they sell out!)
Early access: 7/13-7/20
Public Access: 7/21-8/6

Ok y’all… this is important! Since this sale is mostly fall stuff, it requires a bit of planning. Take inventory of your closet and see what items you will need for the upcoming season. I always like to make a list of what I “need” before shopping the sale that way I can make sure I add those items to my cart and so that I don’t get caught up in the sale and buy things I don’t really need (or already have!)

You can shop this sale online and in stores! Each store will have a slightly different inventory and some items may not be sold in stores…just depends on your specific store location.
If you’re shopping online, know that items go quickly. Sometimes they come back in stock while other items do not. If you are on the fence about what size to order in an item, I suggest ordering both and trying them on when your get the package. Nordstrom offers free shipping & free returns, so take advantage of that! I did this with a few items last year and I’m so glad I did because sizing varies from brand to brand.
If you’re shopping in store, then you will have a chance to try everything on and see what works for you! I always recommend trying everything on because you never know how items will fit! If you see something that you like but it’s not in stock, it’s worth it to ask an employee to search it for you because there’s a chance that another store has it!

Alright, so now that we’ve got the details sorted out, I want to share my favorite brands from Nordstrom with you! Anytime I shop at Nordstrom I gravitate towards these brands because they are affordable and offer a great mix of classic and trendy pieces. Almost all of these brands will have items that are part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so be sure to check them out!
