Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, so I’m extra excited for what today has in store! We plan on having a big breakfast and watching the Macy’s Day parade (always a favorite!) followed by a late lunch at my parent’s house this afternoon. We are doing Thanksgiving round two tomorrow with Nick’s family – so there will be more delicious food and fun! Today I wanted to share a list of things I’m thankful for today and every day! I am thankful for my home
Given everything that is going on in the world and the devastation occurring in California right now, I am very thankful I have a place to call home and a roof over my head. This is something that, admittedly, I take for granted, so I’m making more of an effort to remember not everyone is as fortunate.
I am thankful for my husband
Nick is my rock and I am very lucky to be able to do life with him. He is so kind, understanding & supportive. He always knows how to help me when I’m feeling down and he can make me laugh like no other. We make such a great team. Being married to him for the last year has been such a blessing and I always look forward to celebrating the holidays together.
I am thankful for my family
Nick and I both have a great family who are a lot of fun and incredibly supportive. We live close by, so we are thankful that we get to see (most) of our family fairly often.
I am thankful for my friends
Having a great friend group is so important, especially as you get older. I feel very fortunate to have a close knit group of girls – both childhood friends, friends that I met in school, and through blogging.
I am thankful for Charlie
I can’t even remember what life was like without my Charlie kitty in it! He adds such a fun element to our family and he really is such a great cat. He listens to me when I talk (sometimes!), he is very social, and he lets me give him all the kisses and cuddles.
I am thankful for those who work tirelessly and fight for our freedom
Those who risk their lives for us are true heroes, including law enforcement, fire fighters & medical personnel. I feel lucky to know many who do these jobs so we can remain safe and free.
I am thankful for you (my readers!)
I am so so thankful for all of your constant support! I’m thankful that I get to share my personal style and personal bits of my life here. I am grateful that I am able to have this job and for the friendships I have made with you all over the years! Knowing that you take a few moments out fo your day to read, like, comment, and engage with me truly means the world! I feel like I have a fun friend group on the internet! 🙂
And on that note, I’m off to enjoy a day with family and lots of food! I hope y’all have a great Thanksgiving!
