It’s hard to believe that today marks exactly 60 days since I started self-isolation and quarantining! While this is definitely not how I had planned to spend the last 60 days, I have tried to stay as positive as possible about the situation. In this time of uncertainty, I have really leaned on positive thinking for my mental health. It’s been really nice to have quality time with my husband and our fur babies. I know this quality time is something we will look back on fondly since we only have two months left of just the two of us (plus Charlie & Avett). In a way, it’s been really special to give undivided attention to our animals and each other, knowing life is going to change drastically soon. I have also been able to organize, do some nesting & get our home prepared bit by bit for baby.
Things are slowly starting to open in our state and although I plan to wait it out for at least another few weeks, I am so looking forward to the day I can venture outside of my house again! It’s funny think about the things that we all took for granted before quarantine started. I can say with certainty I will not be taking these things for granted anymore! I would love to hear what you’re looking forward to doing post quarantine!

seeing my family & friends
This is the thing I have missed the absolute most during these last two months. The last time we were able to see all of our family members was mid-February at our gender reveal party! Most of my family & Nick’s family live close by and it’s been so hard to not see them, especially during such an exciting time for us! I can’t wait until we can see them, celebrate with them & all catch up! Unfortunately we will still have to be extra cautious since I’m pregnant and will soon have a newborn, but we will take advantage of the time we can get with them!
date nights & going out to dinner
One thing Nick and I were really looking forward to this spring and summer was going to our favorite date night spots together, just the two of us! We had a list of “favorites” that we wanted to check off the list before baby arrived and we haven’t been able to do that! We know date nights will require a bit more planning once the baby arrives, so I’m really hoping we can squeeze in a few date nights before mid-July! We have cooked so much lately that I can’t wait to dine out and not have to deal with dishes or clean up haha! 🙂
running errands
I used to not think twice about running to Target, going to get my nails done, or going to the grocery store. After not being able to do any of those things for over two months, I can’t wait until I’m safely able to go run errands! Nick has taken on a lot of responsibility during all of this. He has been doing all grocery shopping & getting everything we need for our household since the beginning of March. He has even had to FaceTime me a few times when it came to needing necessary items like shampoo, body wash, etc. haha! Needless to say, I think we will both be happy when I can run errands again!
traveling
I’m not sure when I will feel comfortable enough to travel domestically or internationally, but I can’t wait to be able to have the option to travel again! I’m sure we will start off slow taking shorter, weekend getaway trips – like to the beach or mountains to start. I think this pandemic will definitely change the way we travel for the foreseeable future, but I really can’t wait to get back into the world, help fuel tourism and make new memories!
self-care appointments
I would be lying if I didn’t mention self-care appointments! I can’t wait to go get my hair cut, get a mani/pedi and get my eyebrows waxed! I am always bad about scheduling haircut appointments, but now I’m really kicking my butt because I needed a haircut BAD pre-quarantine! I have actually enjoyed giving my nails a bit of a break from SNS – they feel so much more healthy – but I’m looking forward to my normal nail appointments too!
what are you looking forward to after quarantine?
Um yes to all of the above!! I can’t wait to go on a coffee date soon – I so miss those!!
I really can’t wait to teach barre in a studio instead of one of our spare bedrooms in front of a computer! We’ve been doing virtual classes since mid-March and I’m over it! I also really miss swinging by the coffee shop and running to Target!
I’m looking forward to all those things but if I’m being honest I miss eating out the most!! Looking forward to getting together with people I’m missing over some good food is at the top of my list! xoxo, Sarah
YES to all of these! I cannot wait to get my hair done, nails done, eyebrows micro-bladed, a facial and a massage! And honestly running errands sounds glorious – hello Target and HomeGoods!

I can only imagine how much you’re looking forward to this coming to an end. I know the first place I’ll be heading is my hair salon. Having a red/purple balayage is great in theory… until someone forces you NOT to see your stylist for 60+ days and your roots grow out to your ears haha! I can’t wait to get that touched up and head to my favorite coffee shops!
I’m most looking forward to my self care appts and traveling to see family and friends on the west coast!
I am definitely looking forward to some self-care appointments too. Everything else I feel will take some time but my body cannot wait forever … hahah
Love the list! I thought it’d be the selfcare appointments but really I’m just ready for being able to leave my home and not have constant anxiety about getting sick!
