With the holiday season in full swing, Nick and I have been trying out new recipes as much as we can, especially since we’re still spending a lot of time at home! We really love cooking and baking and it’s been fun to try out new recipes. One thing we really miss about going out is trying fun cocktails! A few weeks ago we decided to spend the afternoon making & trying a few new cocktails, all with a mandarin twist thanks to Peelz Mandarins! We made a Mandarin Moscow Mule, a Mandarin Gin Fizz & a Mandarin Mimosa! If you’re looking for a few festive cocktails to try this winter, keep reading for the recipes! I am a tried-and-true Moscow Mule fan but I think I loved the Gin Fizz the most! Let me know how you end up liking these recipes!
Mandarin Moscow Mule
One of my favorite drinks is a Moscow Mule. It’s a great drink no matter the season. Check out this version of a Moscow Mule with added mandarin juice for a festive feel. See below for recipe.
2 oz. vodka
4 oz. ginger beer
Juice from 3 Peelz Mandarins
Mandarin slice to garnish
Mix all ingredients in copper mug, add ice & garnish with Mandarin slices. Enjoy!
Mandarin Gin Fizz
The classic gin fizz is a delicious, light and refreshing drink! Add in mandarin juice and it makes the perfect winter cocktail! You can make this drink in another glass, but the coupe glass gives it a sophisticated feel!
2 oz. of Gin of choice
1oz. of fresh squeezed mandarin juice from Peelz Mandarins
4 oz. soda water
2 tsp. of powdered sugar
Mandarin slice for garnish
Shake the mandarin juice, gin & sugar over ice and strain into glass.
Top with soda water & garnish with a mandarin. Enjoy!
No holiday season is complete without a mimosa! Trade in store bought OJ for fresh juice from Mandarins for a great mimosa! You can even add vodka to make it a little more boozy!
1.5 oz. vodka
4 oz. mandarin juice from Peelz Mandarins
6 oz. champagne or Prosecco
In a shaker, add vodka, mandarin juice & ice.
Shake until combined.
Pour the mix into two glasses and top with prosecco or champagne.
p.s. This was a paid campaign on Instagram with Peelz Mandarins, but they were too fun so I wanted them to live on the blog too!
