9 Festive Holiday Reads

The holiday season is in full swing with less than 3 weeks until Christmas! Every year I love getting into the holiday spirit by reading Christmas and holiday themed books. I know many people are having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit this year since the holidays are going to look a bit different. Today I’m rounding up 9 festive holiday reads that may just help you put a little more cheer in your step!festive books to read for Christmas holiday 2020

9 festive holiday reads

IN A HOLIDAZE by Christina Lauren
When two families come together each year for the Christmas holiday there’s bound to be some magic! You’ll be dreaming of a cozy cabin getaway after reading this book.  It’s a swoon-worthy romantic read filled with yule tide cheer! I read this one last month (review here) and it was cute!

LET IT SNOW by Nancy Thayer
A Nantucket shopkeeper discovers that Christmas is the perfect occasion to make unexpected friendships, to warm the coldest of hearts, and maybe even find love. I read this one last year (review here) and loved it.

WINTER STREET by Elin Hilderbrand
Take a trip to Nantucket and Winter Street Inn to get a dose of Christmas spirit and a bit of family drama! These books feel a bit like Hallmark Christmas movies in book form.  Winter Street is the first in this series, followed by Winter Stroll, Winter Storms & Winter Solstice.

A heartwarming holiday read that will leave you equal parts charmed and frustrated. I read this book a few holiday seasons ago (review here) and enjoyed it! It reminds me of Something Borrowed a little bit.

Twelve perfectly festive dates with the areas most eligible men – who could say no? Laura loves Christmas enough to give it a shot, even if she’s in it mostly for the festive dates! I haven’t read this one yet, but the premise sounds super cute.

ROYAL HOLIDAY by Jasmine Guillory
A spontaneous holiday vacation quickly turns into an unforgettable romance. But will both Malcolm and Vivian be able to say goodbye to this whirlwind romance come New Year’s Day? This is the fourth book in The Wedding Date series, although you can read them as standalone books.

BLUE CHRISTMAS by Mary Kay Andrews
A perfectly cute and cozy book that will help beat the winter blues. Blue Christmas is a sweet story with a side of southern charm. It comes with a few recipes to boot!

A modern day fairy tale just in time for Christmas about a tough New Yorker from the other side of the tracks that falls in love with a princess from the other side of the world. While I haven’t read this one yet, it sounds right out of a Hallmark movie!

MISTLETOE & MR. RIGHT by Sarah Morgenthaler
Mistletoe and Mr. Right is a delightful holiday treat set in Moose Springs, Alaska. This book will give you all the charming Christmas feels this season.

I’m actually currently reading Let It Snow by Nancy Thayer and I plan to listen to the audiobook for In a Holidaze towards the end of the month. You also included one of my favorites: One Day in December, which makes me so happy. I’ll have to check out the rest next Christmas since this month’s TBR is jam-packed haha!
